JEREMIAH – LESSON ONE

I. THE CALL OF JEREMIAH AND THE TWO VISIONS (1:4-19)

A. God calls Jeremiah to prophetic work (v. 4-10).

1. Jeremiah’s objections countered.

2. God assures Jeremiah of his delivering presence.

B. The two visions (v. 11-16)

1. Rod of an almond tree – God’s watchfulness over His word

2. The boiling caldron – judgment on God’s people from the north

C. The Divine charge and promise (v. 17-19)

2. Arise and speak God’s commandments

3. Do not be dismayed – people will fight against you but will not prevail.
