I. SIGNS, PARABLES, AND DISCOURSES OF JERUSALEM’S DESTRUCTION (586 B.C.)  (Chapters 12-16).

A. Sign of carrying stuff through hole in the wall with face covered – Exile of King Zedekiah (12:1-16; cf. 2 Kings 25:4-7)

B. Sign of eating and drinking with trembling – fear due to land laid waste      (12:17-20)

C. Ezekiel confronts proverb: “Days are prolonged and every vision faileth.”
