DANIEL- LESSON NINE

I. DANIEL’S PRAYER AND THE SEVENTY WEEKS (Chapter 9)

A. The books and God’s message through Jeremiah understood (v. 1-2)

1. Time: first year of Darius the king over the realm of the Chaldeans

2. The seventy -year time frame for the desolations of Jerusalem has come to an end.

B. Daniel’s prayer (v. 3-23)

1. Daniel sets his face in humility unto the Lord (v. 3-4).

2. Daniel confesses the nation of Israel’s sins (v. 5-10).

3. Consciousness of sins intensified (v. 11-14)
