Strange Messengers

God used them all in Bible days;

God spoke to Moses in a burning bush.
The ground is holy, so remove your shoes;
Moses, you will lead God’s people away
From Egyptian abuse.

 

God spoke to Balaam through a donkey’s mouth.
He convicted him of sin and made him bow;
If only he could curse God’s people some how
But this God would not allow.

Stra-a-a-nge Messengers, stra-a-a-nge messengers,
We stand amazed in Jehovah’s ways.

From Dagon’s house the message was clear
When his head and hands were laying there;
If Dagon had a head, he would surely nod,
There is only one true living God.

 

God wrote a message on Belshazzar’s wall,
He wondered what it meant before the wall;
You’ve been measured in the balance of God,
Your kingdom is about to fall.

Peter saw a vision of unclean meat
God said ok, they are clean to eat;
The message to Peter and us today:
Go to the Gentiles and save.
